The new Mazda
MX5 still captures the essence of the original MX5 which by 2000 had
become the biggest-selling sports car of all time, while offering the
space, safety and durability of a thoroughly modern car.
The new model
is more grown up, more sophisticated yet still as much fun to drive.
It's noticeably bigger than its predecessor, longer, wider and taller
with considerably wider tracks - 75mm at the front and 55mm at the
rear with beefed out wheelarches like the RX8. There's also a 47%
improvement in torsional rigidity. |
